A new high-order projection method for simulating incompressible turbulent flows is presented based on weighted essentially non-oscillatory (WENO) schemes. By the combination of successively higher orders of WENO and CD schemes, the desired order of accuracy (up to seventh order) was achieved without appreciable extra CPU time or memory overhead. Turbulent flows are simulated by solving the 3D Taylor-Green vortex problem for successively increasing Reynolds numbers. The present method is expected to be used as an efficient simulation tool for high Reynolds number turbulent flow in various cases.
